As the Rio Olympics 2016 chugs into the final few days of glory for athletes and the Nations backing them, how can we not take a moment to see what our athletes have done so far? We call out three awesome athletes in this post.

A man like him never loses. A true champ, India’s only Gold medalist in individual events, may not have won a medal, but won our hearts again. More importantly, we love how he gave it back to elite, useless and old people who comment about our athletes.

Dipa Karmakar is our new princess!

This naive sportswoman has the courage of a gladiator. She is the only gymnast India has produced who qualified to the Olympics. Not just that she missed a Bronze by a whisker. She risked her life to do the Produnova – A move that three women have ever accomplished in history, two apart from its namesake! She is our princess!

Lalita Babar is a lioness!

Have you heard a woman who ran for a 3km race, tripped, fell, trailed everyone in the pack and finished 4th in the Heats while beating the National Record by about 6 seconds? You need to watch her run in the finals tonight and this is happening after 32 years! She may not win a medal, but she is a true champ!
